Wendy Lewis is a sculptor of fountains and kinetic works that use a magical mix of motors and found materials to engage her audiences. She is also a painter and designer. Her many awards include prestigious grants from Proyecto Ace in Argentina, the Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation, residencies at Moulin à Nef in France, a residency at Europos Parkas in Lithuania, commissions from the Montclair Art Museum and the Morris Museum, a fellowship from Skidmore College, and a residency at Sculpture Space in Utica, New York.

 

Wendy has exhibited in galleries, universities, and alternative spaces throughout the United States, and abroad. She served on the board of trustees of City Without Walls in Newark for several years. Her MFA in Sculpture is from SUNY Albany, her BFA in Painting is from the Akademie der Bildenden Kunste in Munich, Germany.  She has been teaching art for many years.
